The senior men’s national handball team (The Blue Sharks) has now secured their passage to the main round of the World Cup. This follows a victory against Cuba, whom they beat 38-38. Their next match is against Croatia, followed by Argentina and Egypt. The main round of the World Cup comprises four groups, each with six teams. The two best teams from each group will then progress to the quarter finals, and then the final on 2 February in Norway. This is the 29th handball World Cup is being played in Norway, Croatia and Denmark.
