This short movie illustrates some of the highlights of the island of Maio, Cabo Verde. One of the smaller, less visited islands, Maio is a gem. There are lovely, long, almost deserted sandy beaches. The little towns are attractive and the people very friendly. Maio is the closest island to Santiago and can be reached by ferry or plane from the capital city, Praia. The flight takes just 15 minutes and the ferry about 1.5 hours.
