Stella Maris is one of the nicest places to stay in Cape Verde. It is located in Vila do Maio (Porto Inglês), the main town on the island of Maio. It is a gated village of apartments and villas – all self-catering. There is accommodation of various sizes from studio apartments to larger villas. There are sea views from many of the properties. The salt water infinity pool faces west towards the island of Santiago. You get to see some beautiful sunsets from Stella Maris and the town. Maio is just a 15 minute flight from Praia, the capital of Cape Verde, on the island of Santiago.

There are two small supermarkets and a fruit and vegetable market nearby. Maio has lovely beaches and not being a main tourist destination, you will find the beaches quiet and even deserted at times. There is also a selection of restaurants and bars, including street food. The people on Maio are friendly and welcoming. The Stella Maris accommodation is well worth exploring when booking your holiday to Cape Verde.
