Discover Cape Verde regularly monitors the flights to the four international airports in Cape Verde. On each of the island pages there is a link to the airlines serving that island. You can also find a list of cities from which international flights originate. The number of flights to Cape Verde continues to increase. There used to be a significant reduction in the number of flights during the summer months. Whilst some airlines do reduce the number of flights or stop altogether that reduction now seems to be less than it was.

The arrival of low cost airlines such as EasyJet and Transavia is already having an effect. Transavia currently flies to Sal from three French airports – Paris (Orly), Marseille and Lyon. From Paris, they also fly to the islands of Boa Vista, Santiago and São Vicente. Santiago is handy for visitors to Maio.

EasyJet currently flies from Lisbon, Porto and London Gatwick. The first EasyJet flight from Gatwick was on 31 March and greeted on arrival in Sal with cheering, a band and drinks and gifts for the passengers. The airline will start flights from Manchester on 28 October 2025. EasyJet currently only flies to the island of Sal and they are offering package holidays on Sal. These holidays are offering various types of accommodation including room only, bed and breakfast and all inclusive. Their accommodation is located in or close to the main tourist town of Santa Maria, known for its lively music scene, al fresco restaurants, and long stretches of beautiful sandy beaches. The colourful Santa Maria Festival takes place every September and features live acts and street food.
